Hannity Headlines: The following was taken from Sean Hannity’s newsletter dated 9/17/2009.

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Nancy Pelosi warned Republicans that their enthusiastic protests against ObamaCare might incite violence (Article). Pelosi also cautioned that Republican leaders should be held responsible if violence does occur (Watch the Video of Pelosi’s Comments). Citing the City Hall murder of gay rights activist Harvey Milk as an example, Pelosi suggested we should, “All curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements and understand that some of the ears that it is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statements may assume.” Yet another double standard from our esteemed speaker. “This didn’t exist when she and her fellow Democrats repeatedly referred to George W. Bush as a liar…or when they organized one protest after another calling [GWB] a baby killer or a Nazi,” Sean said.

Nancy Pelosi Has It All Wrong:

“Enthusiastic” protests against ObamaCare might incite violence has never been an issue for the millions of conservatives protesting against ObamaCare. Their goal is keep the government out of health care and give the American people the choice of deciding for themselves the type of coverage they want…not President Obama deciding for them. They just don’t seem to get the fact that we do not want government-run health care.

Violence may occur under some circumstances but it will be from radicals not the majority of the American people keeping their right to freedom alive. Pelosi doesn’t seem to understand that our right to freedom of speech was given to the people in the Constitution. It is a right and privilege to state our opinions and work against corruption and liberals who do not have the best interests of the nation at heart.

Republican Leaders will be held responsible if violence does occur??? What does Pelosi expect the Republican party to do? They have no control over a nation of people. They cannot dictate to us what we can and cannot protest against. Does Pelosi really believe that this “dire” warning will affect the American people’s desire and commitment to ensure our freedoms? What is it that frightens them so much? According to most of the mainstream media, we are just a bunch of rebel rousers, maybe some disgruntled seniors, and a few radicals. They just don’t seem to get the fact that this protest against ObamaCare is ordinary people from all walks of life and social status. Some are young – middle aged – and seniors. Some are Democrats and some are Republicans. Some have no affiliation. It is Americans speaking up and out about government-run health care.

The attacks against President George W. Bush by the Democrats seems to be all but forgotten. Seems they didn’t realize their remarks used to describe our president might be falling on ears not as balanced as the person making the statements. Strange how that works just one way. Hmmmm!

Peolsi has it wrong as do much of the media and the government. The opposition is not finished…it has just begun. It will continue until our elected leaders listen and act upon the wants and wishes of the those who elected them.

You get to decide:

I have been reading news online, listening to the radio, and reading the newspaper. But, I get a little more confused as the rhetoric continues. What should be news isn’t and what isn’t news is. Does that make sense to you?

Jimmy Carter (the former President of the United States) is being recognized for his being an author by no less than Osama Bin Ladin. Bin Ladin is recommending Jimmy Carter’s book??? Where did that story come from? However, the story about the A.C.O.R.N. sting is being ignored while A.C.O.R.N. officials make excuses for their employees. The Tea Party Rally was dubbed a “bust” and the people attending as right wing radicals.

I don’t know about you but there seems to be just a little bias going on in the news. Oh, surely not! Aren’t reporters and news anchors supposed to tell the truth and let the people decide? Aren’t we supposed to look up to these highly popular journalists?

Now that you’ve had a good laugh for the day…it does make you stop and think how much influence the news media has over the American people. We are bombarded with talking heads and then those same talking heads take it upon themselves to explain what someone said or did…like we don’t have sense enough to decide for ourselves.

Personally, I am fed up with the overall news coming over the t.v., radio, internet, and newspapers. I make selections as to the news coverage I listen to. I like to think I’m fairly informed and am intelligent enough to know when lies are being spewed out with no remorse or sense of values. Stories are turned up side down to make them fit the liberal agenda.

Each morning I choose to look at certain internet links, online newsletters, listen to conservative talk shows that feature Glenn, Rush and Sean as time permits, and I watch FOX News when I want to know the truth of what’s going on in our nation and around the world. Their slogan, “We report – you decide,” is great. That’s what I do. I refuse to let a left-wing, liberal-biased network or newspaper fill my head with mush.

It’s time the American people stood up and voiced their concerns. Turn off the liberal talking heads and do a little research and dig for the truth. And, we need to ask ourselves – “does it line up with God’s Word?” Values and morals matter. God, family, and country are important. What we think about our country, our government leaders, and others is worth the time and effort.

As of today, I have researched many websites and newspapers trying to get an accurate number of the protesters that marched in Washington D.C. on Saturday. There seems to be a huge question as to the numbers that made made their way to the nation’s capitol to let their voices be heard against bigger government, stimulus bailouts, cash for clunkers, Universal Health Care Reform, and the very freedom our nation is know for around the world.

Overall, the march was peaceful, if not at times boisterous, but always on course. The people had arrived in Washington with one thing on their mind…standing up for freedom in our beloved nation. Of course there were those that went a little too far in their passion but at least they were passionate.

One YouTube video showed a couple of A.C.O.R.N. people being booed out. So of course there were “plants” in the crowd.

No matter the number…the people’s voices were heard and I think it was a great success. I wish I could have stood there beside them. How about you?

FAR Editor

P.S. I wonder what President Obama was thinking when his helicopter flew over the crowd as he left the White House? We may just find out in the coming days. But, will it be the truth?

The Wall Street Journal had this to say about the Tea Party Express March:

The speech before the joint session of Congress has come and gone – did President Obama hit a home run on his Health Care proposal? I think not. Instead, it was more of the same – in fact, the President seemed defiant. The lines have been drawn. No bi-partisan teamwork here. It appears the voices of the people that were calling out during the summer Town Hall Meetings have been met with sarcasm and anger. Our great country was built on dissent by the people – the government does not have the right to “dictate” to the people but it does have an obligation to hear the voice of the people and to listen. Alas, it seems the President is bent on only one mission and that is to pass this monstrosity of Obama Care. Never mind the number one concern on the American people’s mind is the economy and the need for employment.

A president that cares about its people would take a stand of attacking the number one problem in the country – getting unemployment down. Finding ways to put those who have lost their livelihood back to work. The health care issue needs to be put on the back burner. Address the most urgent problems facing Americans today: Unemployment, Run-Away Government Spending, The Stimulus Package Boondoggle, The U.S. Budget in Total Disarray, and on and on it goes. These are problems that could sink America. PRESIDENT OBAMA! ARE YOU LISTENING? Why are you so fixated on the this one issue? Do you remember that Nero fiddled while Rome burned? Hello Mr. President! It’s time to take out your ear plugs!!!

Health care for all Americans is a a huge problem and needs overhauling but raping its people in the process of a program that is just downright wrong and against the Constitution is not the answer. Putting men and women to work so they can keep food on the table and pay for their homes is an immediate need that cannot and should not be overlooked.

I certainly don’t have all the answers and we need to pray for those who are faced with finding the answers and implementing them – their job is not an easy one. In fact, it seems insurmountable. But, the American people have overcome adversity before and they will again given good leadership.

President Obama – you need to listen to the American people. Have you noticed that unemployment is the number one concern? Have you taken notice that your ratings in the polls are not on the positive side? Maybe you need to stand back, take a look at the drawing board and then represent the people – listen to those you are supposed to represent. You may actually be a better president.

FAR Editor

A good take on the President’s speech comes from The Wall Street Journal.

It’s Still the Economy, Stupid
This could be America’s greatest failed presidency.

By Daniel Henninger – The Wall Street Journal

“To save himself and his party from enduring another health-care debacle, Barack Obama should put his agenda on the back burner, bend his efforts to raising the economy, and rebuild his political capital by taking credit for the inevitable rebound. That just might minimize the impending loss of House seats and allow him to revisit his wish list in 2011. The alternative is promising big, accomplishing little and getting credit for nothing. This could be America’s greatest failed presidency.”

(Click on the above link for the rest of Henninger’s observations.)

President Obama to Address Congress Tonight Regarding the Health Care Bill.

In a hastily prepared bid to rescue the Universal Health Care Bill, the president will dig in and let his persona shine as he works to convince Congress and the American people that his version of health care reform is best for America. Don’t believe it! He will go to just about any lengths to make sure this government-run health reform package is crammed down our throats. The voices of the American people are being heard throughout the nation and yet our representatives and president don’t seem to care what the taxpayers want. There is no doubt that changes need to be made to the health care system but a government-run program is definitely not the answer.

By Michael Steele (Chairman of the Republican National Committee)

“Here’s what we know for sure – the president will give a good speech Wednesday night. He always does. We also know that he will say a lot of things that the American public likes and agrees with when it comes to health care reform. He always does.

But there is one small problem. Speaker Pelosi’s bill, a bill that the president has endorsed, doesn’t have anything in common with the president’s eloquent, poll-tested rhetoric. In fact, no Democrat proposal exists from the president or any of his congressmen that has anything in common with the president’s rhetoric.”

“If and when the President ever wants to get serious about enacting common sense reforms that actually address the rising costs of health care, the Republican Party is ready to work with him in a bipartisan way. But as long as he keeps promoting the fantasy that cramming through Nancy Pelosi’s government takeover of health care is the “change” America wants, no amount of beautiful speeches will get him out of Oz.

So…get your popcorn ready…enjoy the speech and the pageantry…but don’t fall for it. And if you miss the speech, don’t worry, there will be another one next week.”

*Senator John Cornyn gives pause for thought as he outlines the need for President Obama to answer directly to the questions being asked by the American public. How can we trust the President when he says one thing and then turns around and says something entirely different? Can we believe our representatives when even they do not understand the health plan bill? Where are the answers to the questions demanded by the American public? Will the President be honest and upfront with the nation during tonight’s telecast in front of the joint houses of Congress?

Those questions and more will be on the table tonight as Americans tune in to see Obama’s take on getting across his message on support of the health care bill. Will it be rhetoric as usual or will he be honest and open? I have serious doubts that his speech will change the image of the bill for most of our citizens. Miracles do happen but this would take a big one; one I don’t think Washington can deliver. We must stand vigilant and firm – keeping our voices heard and hearts lifted in prayer to know the truth.

“The president can bank a huge reservoir of public trust Wednesday by engaging the public with direct answers to their commonsense questions, such as:

–We spend nearly double per capita what some other industrialized nations spend on health care; how will another trillion dollars really reduce health care spending?

–How can we cut nearly $500 billion from the Medicare program for seniors when it is now underfunded by three times the national debt and currently projected to be bankrupt by 2017?

–How will a new government-run insurance program “keep insurers honest” when our two current public plans, Medicare and Medicaid, are riddled with unmatched fraud, waste and abuse?

–How do we reconcile the claim that lobbyist influence in Washington is decreasing with the fact that those most closely consulted on these gargantuan bills are special interest groups like the pharmaceutical industry?

–”Minimum benefit packages” that are mandated as a part of every insurance plan sound great, but since there’s no such thing as a free lunch, don’t mandated benefits actually reduce choices and drive up costs for all patients?

–Will employer “pay-or-play” mandates accelerate the job losses we are seeing across the country?”

Truth is out there – we just have to be willing to search for it.

I search out different websites and resource sites to uncover truths that are important to the American people wanting to keep America healthy, strong, and free. As I was looking at Glenn Beck’s website and ran across information that tells you who the person behind the persona really is. He is not just the “talking head” or funny guy on radio and t.v. Beck is a person with depth. A man who has endorsed family values and trust in God. A man who is the picture of what we as Americans need to embrace and return to for our country to go forward. It would behoove us to not only read the information but to apply it to our lives.

Take time to read the fundamental beliefs of Glenn Beck:

“Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?

Do you believe that your voice isn’t loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?

Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach…as if you’re completely alone?

If so, then you’ve fallen for the Wizard of Oz lie…”

P.T.’s – Possibility Thinker Dolls were a blessing I found on Sean Hannity’s website. Children of all ages need something to connect to. To be their very own – their special friend. I am pleased to share the following information and links. Consider a P.T. Doll for your own child, grandchild, to a child whose parent(s) are serving in the military, or to a child needing a special friend.

FAR Editor

Click on the following links to see P.T.’s up close and personal.

“Although formed in 2004, Possibility Thinker has been a dream in the making for the last twenty years. Inspired by triumph over adversity (Marlene’s long term positive battle with Multiple Sclerosis), founder Marlene Balbach’s vision, gift and history of encouraging, motivating and inspiring others has resulted in the creation of a unique character doll and related gifts all designed to “allow people, of all ages, to realize just how special, unique and one of a kind they are”.

P.T., A unique doll for YOU or the unique person in your life:

Possibility Thinker, “P.T.”, is a unique character doll that will allow you to communicate to someone you care for in a very special way through a choice of interchangeable heart messages. P.T. is 22 inches long and made of soft corduroy with a head that turns. The face is embroidered and there is a special embroidered red heart on P.T.’s chest. Your P.T. doll comes dressed in a sweatshirt, pants and a pair of sneakers or shoes with a cloth heart on it’s sweatshirt. The heart opens up to your choice of an embroidered message inside. Some of the messages are I Love You, I Miss You, and Give birth to your Dream and Let it Live. Many other special messages are available for you to convey just the right sentiment. Additional interchangeable messages and accessories are available to make your doll even more personalized.

Join our growing community of P.T. Angels:

Give a P.T. to a child in need of a special friend. There’s nothing like this special character designed for a child who will really appreciate and grow from your nurturing gift.

“The P.T. Angels program allows us to let children facing challenges know just how proud of them we are,” says Marlene Balbach, President of Possibility Thinker and designer of the P.T. character doll. “Kids have so much to deal with these days. The very first P.T. Angel was a woman who decided she wanted to buy one P.T. doll every month to give to a different child who needs a boost. I thought her idea was so great that I decided to expand her charitable giving into a community of ‘P.T. Angels’.”

Join our troop of Military P.T. Angels by giving a UNIQUE CAMMY P.T. —a Special P.T. doll dressed in Camouflage fatigues, to either a military child, a military family, or a deployed member of the military directly. There’s nothing like this special doll specifically designed for the military.

Check Out:
