I received an email from a dear friend this morning that had the link to a young girl’s speech at the Tea Party Rally In Florida. I was overwhelmed by her knowledge, her passion, and her love for our country. It is well worth the time to listen to this young lady. She can teach us a thing or two.

Notice there is no TelePrompTer. In fact I’m not sure she even has a script. Enjoy the speech. Now if only we could get our supposedly leaders to Step-Up and take responsibility for their actions, Maybe, just Maybe, this young lady’s speech can and will have some affect.  Even her name is…SARAH!!!!!!  And she is only 11 years old.

As of today, I have researched many websites and newspapers trying to get an accurate number of the protesters that marched in Washington D.C. on Saturday. There seems to be a huge question as to the numbers that made made their way to the nation’s capitol to let their voices be heard against bigger government, stimulus bailouts, cash for clunkers, Universal Health Care Reform, and the very freedom our nation is know for around the world.

Overall, the march was peaceful, if not at times boisterous, but always on course. The people had arrived in Washington with one thing on their mind…standing up for freedom in our beloved nation. Of course there were those that went a little too far in their passion but at least they were passionate.

One YouTube video showed a couple of A.C.O.R.N. people being booed out. So of course there were “plants” in the crowd.

No matter the number…the people’s voices were heard and I think it was a great success. I wish I could have stood there beside them. How about you?

P.S. I wonder what President Obama was thinking when his helicopter flew over the crowd as he left the White House? We may just find out in the coming days. But, will it be the truth?

The Wall Street Journal had this to say about the Tea Party Express March:

In addition to the beauty of the area, the great shows, museums, and activities, there stands out a quality that is sadly lacking in much of America today. You cannot go to Branson and not feel the patriotism that is part of every performance. From the honoring of our veterans, servicemen, and the families of servicemen currently serving and those that have passed on – you feel the pride and gratitude for those servicemen and women protecting America’s freedom at home and abroad. There is no  embarrassment as these performers ask the audience to pay tribute to these heroes who stand at the ready to defend our freedom and the freedom of others. You not only feel the love of country but the love of God. From free gospel concerts on Sunday to praying before a meal at the Circle B Chuckwagon, and viewing the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum, you can feel God’s presence. You can see the people responding in ways that encourages our faith.

Branson seems to take us back to our roots of Judeo-Christian principles. So many of the shows point us toward a greater hope in our country and our people. It keeps alive the spirit of America that is so often overlooked in our busy, hurried lives.

Our family came away with a renewed source of pride in our country, hope, and a positive feeling that all is not wrong with the world but there is so much right in America.

We happened upon a memorial to our military that had been dedicated by Bob Hope and the children of the Ozarks. The monument is located on Gretna Road and  is housed in a small open pavilion. The memorial stands as a memorial to all branches of the military. On one side of the pedestal  is the Pledge of Allegiance, one side shows the symbols of each branch of service, and on the fourth side, the following poem is written:

“As the eagles soars,
so can we.
No height is unattainable,
no goal too lofty,
Nothing is beyond our grasp
when we live in freedom.”

Love of country, freedom, and God is alive in Branson and for one week, our family got to soak up the feelings that will carry us forward in our fight for freedom for our beloved America. Our hearts soared as we heard the words to “God Bless America!”

Every American child has or should have heard of Paul Revere’s “Midnight Ride” when he rode to let the American patriots know the British were coming. Revere had instructed Robert Newman, the sexton of the Old North Church, to send a signal by lantern to alert colonists in Charlestown as to the movements of the troops when the information became known. One lantern in the steeple would signal the army’s choice of the land route, while two lanterns would signal the route “by water” across the Charles River.

Paul Revere (bap. January 1, 1735 [O.S. December 22, 1734] – May 10, 1818)^[1] was an American silversmith and a patriot in the American Revolution.

He was glorified after his death for his role as a messenger in the battles of Lexington and Concord, and Revere’s name and his “midnight ride” are well-known in the United States as a patriotic symbol. In his lifetime, Revere was a prosperous and prominent Boston craftsman, who helped organize an intelligence and alarm system to keep watch on the British military.

Revere later served as an officer in the Penobscot Expedition, one of the most disastrous campaigns of the American Revolutionary War, a role for which he was later exonerated. After the war, he was early to recognize the potential for large-scale manufacturing of metal.

Freedom at risk is more than a name for this website. The name was chosen because of the perilous times America is facing. Our country’s freedom is under attack by those elected to protect her Constitution and values. Those extremist who are attempting change are destroying the very foundations laid by our forefathers.

The Town Hall meetings, Freedom Concert Tours, and other organized or dis-organized efforts are working to get the attention of our elected officials. Sad to say, it is also getting the attention of those who would like to silence those who are boldly standing up to our government and saying “no” to their outrageous spending, Health-Care reform, the taking over of the auto industry, banking, and numerous other institutions. Government was never meant to run America. The American people are the ones who should be running companies and investing their money to build and employ people…we are a capitalist nation. A nation that allows Americans to dream and then make those dreams come true through hard work and investing their money to build companies and mom and pop businesses. We don’t live in a nation where the government decides what we will and will not accomplish.The elected officials are sent to Washington, D.C. to represent their constituents…to uphold the Constitution. There duties are defined and yet they have taken it upon themselves to change the rules and are leading the country down a dangerous path to socialism. A path where the people’s voices will not be heard and Big Government will make decisions and then place those ideologies upon the backs of the American people.

It’s time to stand up and be counted among those who say “no” to Big Government. Say “no” to Universal Health Care. Say “no” to Industry Take Over. And, say “no” to Socialism. America is the greatest nation on earth and has stood for over 200 years as the world’s idea of democracy. Our country, our people, our very existence is counting on our coming to her rescue. The “silent” majority has been awakened and there is no stopping what she can do when faced with fighting for America’s freedom.

Get involved in this fight for freedom whether it’s through joining a Tea Party group in your area (if you don’t have one – start one), attending Town Hall Meetings, writing and calling your senators, congressmen, and representatives, start a blog, talk with your friends and family. Vote those out of office that would dare take away your freedom. Voting is not only a freedom many in our world don’t have but it’s a requirement for those who would stand up and defend the people’s right to freedom. Take time to find out where you can fit in and then make your voice heard. To win this war on our freedom takes one person at a time making a difference until we become a roar heard all the way to Washington, D.C.

Remember to support our troops. Pray for their safety daily – and, remember to pray for their families. Let them know you appreciate the sacrifices they are making in protecting our freedom and the freedom of those around the world. Our military should be our heroes. Get involved in adopting a soldier, send a card, a care package, donate to organizations that support our troops and their families. Fly the U.S. flag proudly – not just on holidays but everyday. Let everyone know you are a patriotic American and you love your country.

And, don’t forget to pray for America. Pray for our president and those in our government. Pray they will have wisdom and make wise decisions. Pray about the bills pending. Pray for yourself and your family and friends. Pray that God will hear His people and heal their land. That He will bring revival to America and bless her people in mighty ways.

Freedom is not free. It never has been. It never will be. It takes the people of this mighty nation staying vigilant and ready to take a stand to defend those freedoms. It take courageous men, women, and children to say “no” to those who would try and dismantle the United States of America. Don’t let it happen on our watch!
